How Our Referral Process Works

Midwest Lawn Care functions as a referral service, not a lawn care provider. Here's exactly how it works from both sides of the equation:

For Homeowners

1. You submit a request. Fill out our form telling us what lawn care services you need, where you're located, and when you'd like the work done.
2. We match you with a provider. We review your request and connect you with a vetted local provider who has the right expertise and availability.
3. The provider contacts you directly. They'll reach out to discuss your needs, provide an estimate, and schedule the work if you decide to move forward.
4. You decide. There's no obligation. If the estimate works for you, great. If not, let us know and we can explore other options.

For Lawn Care Providers

1. Apply to join our network. Providers go through a vetting process that includes insurance verification, reference checks, and quality assessment.
2. Receive matched referrals. We send qualified leads — homeowners in their service area who need the services they offer.
3. Convert the lead. The provider contacts the homeowner, provides an estimate, and if the homeowner chooses to hire them, completes the work.

How Midwest Lawn Care Is Compensated

We generate revenue through referral agreements with the lawn care providers in our network. Specifically:

• When a homeowner we refer hires a provider from our network, the provider may pay us a referral fee or commission. This is a standard practice in the service industry and is how we keep our service running.
• The referral compensation structure varies by provider and may be a flat fee per successful referral, a percentage of the initial service, or an ongoing arrangement for recurring services.
• Important: Providers agree not to increase their rates for referred homeowners. You pay the same price you would if you had found the provider on your own.

No Cost to Homeowners — Ever

This is worth emphasizing because it's important to us: Midwest Lawn Care is completely free for homeowners.

• We do not charge homeowners a fee to submit a request.
• We do not add any markup or service charge to provider estimates.
• We do not require any ongoing commitment from homeowners.
• There is no subscription, membership fee, or hidden cost of any kind.

Our revenue comes from the provider side. We believe this aligns our interests with yours: we only succeed when we connect you with a provider who does great work, because that's what leads to successful, lasting referrals.

Our Matching Philosophy

Compensation from providers does not influence which provider we match you with. We match based on:

• Service fit: Does the provider offer exactly what you need?
• Location: Are they in your area and able to serve you promptly?
• Availability: Can they take on your job in your preferred timeframe?
• Specialization: Do they have experience with properties like yours?

If multiple providers are equally good matches, we rotate referrals to keep things fair across our network. The quality of the match always comes first.

Your Relationship with the Provider

Once we connect you with a provider, your relationship is directly with them. Midwest Lawn Care is not a party to your service agreement. The provider sets their own prices, schedules their own work, and is responsible for the quality of service delivered.

That said, we care deeply about your experience. If something goes wrong or the match isn't working out, please reach out to us. We'll do everything we can to help make it right, including connecting you with a different provider if needed.
