Meet Jerry Bennes
Founder, Midwest Lawn Care
My name is Jerry Bennes, and I've called St. Charles County home for over twenty years. I raised my family here, coached Little League in O'Fallon, and spent countless weekends working on my own lawn — like most folks around here.
The idea for Midwest Lawn Care came from my own frustration. A few years back, I needed someone to handle my lawn after a knee surgery. I must have called six different companies. Two never returned my call. One showed up late, did a rushed job, and charged me more than quoted. One was fantastic but booked solid for the season. I remember thinking: there's got to be a better way.
That's when I started talking to lawn care business owners in the area — the folks who actually do the work. I learned about their challenges: finding reliable clients, managing schedules, dealing with the same trust issues from the other side. Both homeowners and providers wanted the same thing: a straightforward, honest connection.
Midwest Lawn Care is the result of those conversations. I built this service to be the referral source I wish I'd had when I was hobbling around on crutches, staring at an overgrown lawn. No games, no gimmicks — just real connections between real people who care about great lawns.
When I'm not connecting homeowners with providers, you'll find me at the local hardware store, at a Cardinals game, or in my own backyard with the grill going. This community means everything to me, and Midwest Lawn Care is my way of giving back to the place that's given me so much.
